Tartanleaf Open Source
A free, open-source desktop app that helps you see which supported local AI tools are running on your computer, understand what the app can observe, and create a plain-language report. It follows a simple process: Observe → Explain → Diagnose → Report.
AI Engine Room is a community project, not a subscription, managed service, or supported commercial product. Version 0.1.1 is the first stable release, but the project still comes without a promise of individual support, fixes, uptime, security monitoring, or continued development.
Version 0.1.1 is a stable, narrowly scoped release. The packages are not digitally signed or independently certified for security or privacy, and they have only been physically checked on the Windows and Ubuntu versions listed below.

Download the published checksum file. Do not install a file with a different name, byte size, or SHA-256. A matching checksum shows that your download matches the published bytes; it is not a digital signature and does not authenticate the publisher.
Windows: Windows may identify the publisher as unknown, show a reputation warning, or block the installer. Do not disable Microsoft Defender, SmartScreen, antivirus software, or rules set by your workplace or school. Continue only if Windows offers its normal review-and-continue path and the file name, size, and SHA-256 match this page.
Ubuntu: Verify the downloaded .deb against the published SHA-256 before installing it with your normal package installer. Do not add an untrusted repository or weaken system security controls.
If your operating system or administrator does not offer a permitted way to continue, do not install the package on that computer.
AI Engine Room checks supported local AI tools on the same computer and shows the information those tools make available. If it cannot find or confirm something, it clearly marks that information as unavailable or unknown.
You can copy a plain-language report or save it as a text file. Saving never replaces an existing file; choose a different name if the destination already exists.
For supported Ollama and LM Studio models, the app explains what a test will do and asks for your permission each time before sending a test prompt.
The app does not require an account, track how you use it, upload your information, or save your results inside the app. When checking supported local AI tools, it communicates only with those tools on the same computer. Nothing is copied or saved unless you choose to do so.
It cannot tell you whether a model will work well on your computer, prove where every calculation happened, manage your models, or guarantee that an AI conversation was private or entirely local.
AI Engine Room is not available through WinGet, APT, Snap, the Microsoft Store, or another app catalog. Use the direct GitHub release downloads above.
AI Engine Room does not update itself automatically or silently. You remain in control of when you download and install a new version.
